I believe that the role of Superintendent is quite unique. Some may view it as a shepherding role (a pastor of pastors), others may feel that it is more along the lines of a CEO of a large non-profit. I believe that it is a bit of both, with a stronger leaning towards being the executive of a non-profit. My focus would be on maintaining and championing the vision and mission of our Network and creating pathways for our credential holders and churches to maximize their efforts in fulfilling the Great Commission.

Due to the large geographical size of our Network, as well as the wonderful diversity that is seen and experienced within our Network, there will always be a challenge regarding connectivity and being like-minded (Buffalo Bills fans & NY Jets fans ... it is what it is). However, we have a wonderful opportunity to display the power of the Gospel as it unifies us under the Lordship of Christ. Communicating that we are truly united as a people and fellowship, we should utilize the branding of our Network as a constant reminder that we are better together.

Making disciples of all people groups defines who I am as a person and as a minister. From youth ministry to my current position as Executive Assistant to the Superintendent. and U.S. Missions Director, making disciples drives and energizes me. If I am not directly engaged in making disciples, then I am resourcing and training others to make disciples of Christ. There is no greater joy than to know that on my worst day, two things are forever true: 1. Jesus loves me, and I'm utterly convinced of this. 2. Someone will come to know Jesus in a better way because of my obedience ... whether I feel victorious or not.
