What is Coins for Kids?
Coins for Kids is the missions arm of Girls Ministries. Each year the national Girls Ministries Department, in cooperation with the Assemblies of God World Missions and Home Missions, selects a missions project that specifically affects children.
Girls Ministries partners with the Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge—BGMC. The Coins for Kids offering received during the project year and from the Nationwide Girls Ministries Event not only benefits the national missions project but also contributes to BGMC when mailed to the national Girls Ministries Department.
This year, BGMC and Coins for Kids will be working alongside Convoy of Hope’s Girls’ Empowerment program. We have a goal of helping girls discover their value, dignity, and strength in Jesus. Girls will receive the support they need to overcome challenges and gain skills/abilities to be successful.
$25 empowers a girl to receive education and training for an entire year! Weekly sessions develop key skills and provide mentorship around physical health, nutrition, hygiene, emotional health, gender-based violence, harmful cultural practices, leadership and decision-making skills, and other relevant topics that will protect them as they move into adulthood.
When we partner with Convoy of Hope’s Girls’ Empowerment program, we are bringing hope and real help to more girls around the world!
As leaders, we want to encourage you to lead by example. Lead by being the first one to pray for and consider supporting Convoy of Hope. God has called us as leaders to model what Jesus commanded us to do in His Word.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20.
