The primary role of the Superintendent is to serve and support the local pastors, the churches they lead, and the missionaries with whom we partner. This would be my focus and passion. Having served for 36 years as a pastor in the NYMN, I have personally experienced the challenges our church leaders face and the complexities of pastoring in New York. As well, ministering in foreign countries has sensitized me to the needs of our missionaries serving abroad. If privileged to serve as Superintendent, my priority would be to promote a culture that serves our credential holders and empowers their ministries. Every decision made, every program launched, every dollar spent would be evaluated with one fundamental conviction in mind: "How does this benefit our pastors, our credential holders, and the churches they serve? 11

Our most pressing challenge is strategic. The NYMN faces significant "Ten-Year lssues11 that demand targeted initiatives to ensure the viability of our network ten years from now (and beyond). These issues include: (1) addressing the disconnect between our credential holders and the network organization, (2) integrating more young people into our leadership pipeline, (3) initiating new church plants across New York State, (4) revitalizing declining rural churches, and (5) restructuring our network to better address disparities between the downstate metro and upstate regions. In addition, we need to reevaluate the feasibility of the Windsor Project, its resource demands and impact on other critical priorities. If elected, I will address these issues strategically, collaboratively, and transparently.

Integrating the Great Commission into the ministry of the local church has been my life 1s work. Since entering ministry in 1984, I have pastored in three different churches, raised up and released multiple leaders into active ministry, developed and deployed numerous missionary teams, and trained thousands of pastors in more than a dozen nations. I am grateful to God for the privilege of serving leaders both locally and globally in expanding His Kingdom. Additionally, I have been profoundly enriched by ministering in diverse cultural and ethnic contexts, which have broadened my perspective and deepened my faith. As New York State is the multicultural capital of the world, I would be excited to leverage my experience in uniting diverse congregations and leadership teams throughout our network to fulfill the Great Commission.
