What is the Pre-Conference Generosity Accelerator?

Rob Ketterling and the River Valley Leadership Network is partnering with Assemblies of God World Missions to host one-day Generosity Accelerators around the country. Whether your heart is to increase generosity to pour into your local community, to send missionaries across the globe, or to plant more local churches, these Generosity Accelerators will help you have a fresh vision for the dreams God has placed on your heart for your church and increase generosity in a way you never thought was possible!

At NetCon24 they will discuss how to grow your current tithe and increase over-and-above giving and different ideas to cultivate generosity in the hearts of your congregation. You will learn ways to develop more partnerships with local and global projects and receive resources that will help your church take the next step in generosity.

Dr. Billy Thomas is the Senior Director of U.S. Church Mobilization at the Assemblies of God National Office.

Billy Thomas took over the Senior Director of Church Mobilization position, formally known as U.S. MAPS (Mission America Placement Service), in July 2015. He has since overseen the RV Volunteer ministry and the missionaries who serve in the Church Development division of Church Mobilization, a window of U.S. Missions of the Assemblies of God. He blends both areas of ministry to ensure the local church is solid, healthy, and growing, from building or remodeling the facility to strengthening ministries within the local Assemblies of God churches.

During his tenure, every area of Church Mobilization has experienced growth – something that excites Billy immensely as he continues assisting the local church and Assemblies of God ministries. Dr. Thomas has been very successful in his role as Senior Director thanks to his extensive education and numerous strengths. As a result of his experience as a lead pastor, home missions pastor, evangelist, and short-term missionary, he has gained a comprehensive understanding of the ministry.

He has exceptional leadership skills and can connect with pastors and congregations from various backgrounds, whether from rural or inner-city churches. Additionally, Dr. Thomas' giftedness in fundraising for missionaries and projects is evident and a blessing to many. Billy strongly believes that every believer has a call to ministry and is dedicated to helping mobilize that ministry. His ultimate goal is to ensure that the local church is healthy, financially stable, and able to carry out God's mission to reach those who are lost.

Billy is married to Valerie and they have been ministering together for 37 years. Before their marriage, Billy traveled as a Missionary Evangelist, while Valerie sang with her family and was a member of the RevivalTime Choir. Billy graduated from Central Bible College, The Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, and McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University, where he earned his D.Min.

Being the son of a military sergeant, Rob's dream was to be a Navy pilot. He didn't make it past the screening - slight color blindness stopped the dream at the start. Led down a different path, Rob's faith led him to the Amazon jungle basin to serve the poorest of the poor. Sleeping in the rainforest under a mosquito net, Rob heard the call from God to be a pastor and to focus on reaching the world with good. After attending bible school, Rob became a pastor and eventually founded River Valley Church in an elementary school in 1995. Under Rob's leadership the church has grown into a thriving church with nearly 10,000 in attendance across its ten U.S. campuses. In addition, the church under Rob's tenure has given away over $50,000,000 to outside organizations and relief efforts all around the world.

Through Rob's unique and practical teaching style, vision casting and gifts of leadership, he is able to impact people in all walks of life. Rob likes to describe himself as a white collar thinker with a blue collar work ethic - someone who could get along with anyone, no matter their background or status.

Rob is the author of several books including Front Row Leadership, Speed of Unity and his latest book, Keep the Change. In addition to leading River Valley, he also serves on several organizational boards including North Central University, Stone Table, ARC and others. Rob speaks at churches, conferences and company events all around the world.

Rob and Becca, his wife of34 years, have two sons, Connor and Logan, and daughter-in-laws, Alexia and Mikayla.
